Lost In A Sea of Oblivion

You sat next to me with a wonderful smile,
You giggled joyfully at something new.
We walked wonderously through new romance,
'Twas fresh as morning dew.

Thanksgiving day, Christmas eve,
Together we enjoyed them both,
But passed the New Year Did,
And distance came as a moth.

It ate through what we once had,
Destroyed what had started to birth.
And now the tears come through trembling sobs,
But I loved you for what it's worth.

Now I am lost in oblivion,
Your smile miles away.
I miss you like I miss the snow.
And hope to meet again someday!
